Havertz open to move next summer
Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz has refused to rule out a move next summer, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich all said to be interested in the 20-year-old.
The midfielder looks set to be one of Europe’s top stars in the next few years, and has spoken to Sky Germany after a move away from Leverkusen failed to materialise this summer.
They haven’t scared me off.
I don’t know exactly what it was like with Timo [Werner], but it just didn’t happen for me this year.
I think there were a number of reasons why. But I’m happy to be here and stay in Leverkusen for another year.
We’ll see what happens next summer.
Leverkusen have reportedly set a €100million (£90.5million) asking price for Havertz, with the club confident they will be able to get such a fee following Atletico Madrid’s €120million move for teenager Joao Felix this summer.
