Matteo Guendouzi, Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson have “big potential” to become Arsenal stars.
That’s the view of former Gunners manager Arsene Wenger who knows a thing or two about developing young talent having done so with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Ashley Cole and Thierry Henry just to name a few.
All three current Arsenal youngsters have been given their chance by Unai Emery this season.
Of the trio, Guendouzi has been the standout player thus far, earning praise for performances against Tottenham, Aston Villa and Manchester United.
Furthermore, the midfielder is being tipped for a bright future at both club as well as international level.
And Wenger is in agreement.
Whilst praising his compatriot, Wenger also picked out two players whom he handed first-team debuts to who can shape an exciting future for the north London outfit.
“He looks to be a good potential,” the Frenchman told Arsenal.com. “I think there are many other players who have fantastic potential, who played already with me, like Joe Willock and you have Reiss Nelson.
“You have many players who come out and have a big potential and Guendouzi is one of them.
“It’s part of our DNA at Arsenal. It has always been part of it, to give a chance. I think when you are manager and you can give a chance to a young boy, it’s always fantastic.
“And when they can play at such a high level like Arsenal, it’s even better.”
Guendouzi has gone about his business of becoming a regular in the Gunners midfield quite impressively and he could soon be joined in the engine room by Willock.
The 20-year-old has weighed in with three goals across all competitions so far this season – more than Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Dani Ceballos combined – and has impressed with his ability to drive from midfield.

Meanwhile, Nelson has been eager to impress after returning from a loan spell at Hoffenheim.
The winger is in decent form having weighed in with one goal and two assists in six appearances across all competitions, although he did have to withdraw from international duty with a knee problem.
