‘They’re not the Invincibles’ – These Arsenal fans are saying the same thing about Liverpool – Football.London

Arsenal made history in 2003/04 when they went through the entire season unbeaten.

And they do not want to see another team join them in doing the same thing.

The Gunners’ team, led by Arsene Wenger, won 26 and drew 12 of their 38 games that season – a remarkable achievement to win the Premier League title.

And the team was coined ‘The Invincibles’ following their impressive run.

And even though the current 2019/20 campaign is only eight games in, Gunners supporters are fearful of their record being matched, by Liverpool.

Liverpool maintained their 100% start to the new Premier League campaign thanks to a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday, with James Milner netting a 95th minute penalty.

There are another 30 games of the season to go, but Arsenal fans are concerned.

There were a few occasions during Arsenal’s run where it looked as though they might suffer defeat, but they ultimately held on to go the whole season unbeaten.

Liverpool are not playing at their best at the moment, beating Sheffield United 1-0 thanks to a horrendous goalkeeping error last week, before claiming that late victory over Leicester on Saturday.

The Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying similar things – that they don’t mind Liverpool winning the title, as long as they don’t do it unbeaten.

The Reds have much bigger tests to come and the season is long, but they only lost once last season and who would bet against them going unbeaten this time around?
